Éléonore False's "Sœur de nuit" Opens at Les Tanneries in Amilly, a Nocturnal Follow-Up to "Sœur de jour"
Running from 17 October 2026 to 28 February 2027, Les Tanneries contemporary art centre in Amilly presents "Sœur de nuit", a solo show by Éléonore False. It forms the second chapter of "Sœur de jour", which closed at the Centre de création contemporaine Olivier Debré (CCC OD) in Tours one month before the Amilly opening. Installed on the venue's first floor, the exhibition is conceived as an immersive, sensory route in which darkness, shadows, music and industrial architecture resonate with the works. Visitors move through a nocturnal dreamscape poised between reverie and unease, where familiar reference points dissolve. An original score by Nicolas Mollard accompanies the experience. Earlier pieces are shown alongside new productions, among them glass sculptures resembling tulips that sit between plant and lamp. Collage anchors False's practice, appearing in cut-and-assembled images, fragments of faces and linoleum prints, and in the way works engage the floor, walls, shimmering tulle and shadows, blurring the lines between image and sculpture, body and decor, presence and absence. Unlike the Tours presentation, no wall labels accompany the pieces at Les Tanneries, a choice intended to encourage intuitive reading and individual interpretation. Les Tanneries occupies a former industrial site converted into a centre of national interest from 2016. The venue, at 234 rue des Ponts, 45200 Amilly, is open Wednesday to Sunday, 14h30–18h.
