El Prado opens night hours in August with Bécquer exhibition
On Saturday, August 1, the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid will host a special night event from 20:30 to 23:30, allowing free entry with limited capacity. This occasion, part of 'El Prado de noche,' highlights the exhibition 'Valeriano D. Bécquer (1834-1870): Los cuadros de costumbres,' featuring eight artworks created for the former Museo de la Trinidad between 1866 and 1867. The commission was supported by a royal pension granted on February 6, 1865, concluding in 1868, with the series starting to disperse in 1877. Attendees will also have the chance to view pieces by Bosch, Van der Weyden, and Goya. Samsung will offer interactive experiences, along with complimentary access to 'La Guía del Prado' and 'Photo Prado.' The Café Prado terrace and shop will remain open until 22:30.
