Edward Hopper Retrospective at Palazzo Blu in Pisa This Fall

Palazzo Blu in Pisa will host a major Edward Hopper retrospective from October 14, 2026 to March 7, 2027, organized with the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and MondoMostre. The exhibition features over 150 works, including paintings, etchings, watercolors, drawings, and archival materials from the Whitney's collections, many rarely seen. Curated by Kim Conaty and Barbara Haskell of the Whitney, the show is structured in five sections: Beginnings, Paris, New York, New England, and Jo & Edward, tracing Hopper's career from his early illustration work to his mature paintings. A special section highlights Josephine "Jo" Hopper, his wife and collaborator. The exhibition also draws on the Sanborn Hopper Archive, acquired by the Whitney a decade ago, containing correspondence, photographs, notebooks, and diaries. Early bird tickets are available at a 15% discount (€17 instead of €20) if purchased before September 30, 2026.
