EducaImmagine Festival 2026 Returns to Rovereto with Focus on Media Literacy and Digital Illusions

The 2026 edition of the EducaImmagine festival, themed 'Miraggi' (Mirages), is set to return to Rovereto. Founded seven years ago by artistic director Luca Ferrario, the festival seeks to examine the ways in which images can warp our perception of reality. This year's lineup includes a diverse array of speakers, such as content creators, artists, and psychologists, who will delve into the misleading portrayals in media. Festival consultant Daniela Collu pointed out the harmful impact of digital tools on personal relationships. Psychologist Leopoldo Romanelli noted the internet's significance as a relational platform for young people. Francesco Oggiano addressed the changing landscape of journalistic skills in the age of social media, while media philosopher Marco Senaldi advocated for virtual reality as a space for creativity. The festival aims to actively investigate the influence of digital technology on modern life.
