Edoardo Tresoldi's 'Selva' Installation Opens in Rome's Piazza Mignanelli
Edoardo Tresoldi's installation 'Selva' is being showcased in Piazza Mignanelli, Rome, from 30 September 2026 through January, under the auspices of the Fondazione Valentino Garavani e Giancarlo Giammetti. This artwork consists of sixteen columns made of wire mesh, each exceeding six meters in height, which create a sense of transparency and change the viewer's perception of the square. 'Selva' reflects the interplay between nature and architecture, evoking a forest and reshaping the square into an architectural scene. Giancarlo Giammetti noted the square's importance in Valentino's legacy, while Alessandro Onorato spoke on the impact of fashion and culture in Rome. The initiative is in partnership with Roma Capitale and Municipio I, featuring a curatorial text by Piergiorgio Caserini. Tresoldi, a Milan native born in 1987, specializes in public art and memory.
