Ecuador's Uribe Schwarzkopf Debuts WOMA in Miami's Wynwood Arts District
Uribe Schwarzkopf, a developer based in Quito, is making its U.S. debut with WOMA, a mixed-use building located in Wynwood, Miami. This project, in collaboration with the Dutch firm MVRDV and local architect Kobi Karp, comprises 163 residences designed for creatives, including live-work spaces and offices, complemented by a public art installation from Fornasetti. The building's lively exterior captures the essence of the neighborhood and pays tribute to its original owner, Rosita Hurtado, who will maintain her atelier on-site. Amenities at WOMA encompass a rooftop terrace, garden, pool, fitness center, movie theater, and sauna. CEO Joseph Schwarzkopf expressed that WOMA is intended to serve as a cultural hub, coinciding with Miami's evolution as a global business center alongside a new Carnegie Mellon campus supported by Ken Griffin.
