Earthbound Spirits: Mexican Craftsmanship Debuts in Dubai
Alkimista, a platform founded by Carlos Martinez and Maria Eugenia Serdan, makes its international debut with "Earthbound Spirits" at Isola Space in Dubai's Business Bay. The exhibition showcases works by master artisans Hilario Alejos Madrigal, Honorio Cruz, Talavera Santa Catarina, and Tomás Martínez, featuring ceramics, clay, carved wood, and textiles. It marks the first chapter of a partnership between Alkimista and Isola Design Group, which originated in Milan in 2017 and now operates in Dubai, London, Riyadh, and beyond. The show extends beyond Isola Space with an installation at Soul Kitchen, the official partner, visible until August 31, 2026. The collaboration emphasizes cultural exchange as a meeting of creative communities rather than aesthetic export.
