Drummer Tennessee Thomas Marries Furniture Maker Ben Goodman at a Gas Station in California

Tennessee Thomas, drummer for the band Nice As Fuck (NAF) and The Like, married furniture maker Ben Goodman in a remote ceremony near Route 395 in California's Eastern Sierras. The couple, who met a decade ago through mutual friends Todd Weaver and Maximilla Lukacs, had a legal drive-through wedding during Covid but celebrated with friends and family in summer 2026. The ceremony took place halfway between Mount Whitney and Death Valley, with friend Farmer Dave Scher officiating. The bride wore a bespoke Charles Anastase dress assembled from archive fabrics, hand-carried from Paris to London by Alexa Chung and then to Los Angeles by Diva Dompé. The reception was held at the Whoa Nellie Deli in the Tioga Gas Mart, with entertainment by Jack Shit, Pete Thomas's cowboy band, featuring performances by Jenny Lewis, Z Berg, and Father John Misty. The couple's children, Isidore (Izzy) and Sylvette, were present. The wedding was planned spontaneously after a family road trip was extended due to a stomach bug and a stuck camper van. Thomas's second dress was made by friend MissKK, and her pearl ring was by Beatrice Valenzuela.
