Dr Ahmad AlAttar's Interactive Sound Installation Questions Algorithmic Control at 421 Arts Campus

Emirati artist and robotics engineer Dr Ahmad AlAttar presents 'Human in the Loop', an interactive sound installation at 421 Arts Campus in Abu Dhabi that transforms AI into a tactile game. Suspended ropes respond to visitors' touch with evolving sonic cues, revealing a hidden algorithm that constantly relocates. The work exposes the reciprocal relationship between human behavior and machine response, drawing on AlAttar's background in robotics and his participation in 421's Artistic Development Program. It examines how algorithms shape attention, agency, and decision-making. The exhibition runs until 13 September 2026.
