DOT BOT STUDIO's Brick on Sticks Store Rises Quietly in Domlur-Indiranagar, Bengaluru

architecture-design · 2026-09-29

In the dense commercial fabric of Domlur-Indiranagar, a ground-plus-three-level structure (PB+3) occupies a modest 12×18-metre plot, announced quietly rather than assertively. The project, titled Tienda Brick on Sticks, is designed by DOT BOT STUDIO. Rather than maximizing presence through volume or spectacle — an approach the architects associate with concession rather than ambition in a context where dimensions are often read that way — the building operates through meticulous calibration of structure, material, and intention. Two existing trees along the sidewalk edge unintentionally frame the building from the pedestrian perspective, their canopies forming a natural urban proscenium that shapes the first perception of the architecture. The design resists the instinct to assert itself through scale, instead letting the streetscape and existing vegetation mediate how the storefront is encountered at ground level. The project is documented on ArchDaily, which published the scheme under its Spanish-language edition.
