Dornbracht's Coya Series Blends Circular and Rectilinear Geometries

In partnership with Sieger Design, Dornbracht has launched the Coya series of bathroom fixtures, characterized by a unique hybrid shape that transitions between circular and rectilinear forms, often referred to as a 'squircle.' This collection is the first to embody Dornbracht's brand ethos, 'Inspiring your vision,' representing a new approach to how fittings interact with geometric designs in interior spaces. Michael Sieger, the designer, emphasizes that Coya transcends traditional classifications, offering a coherent aesthetic. The range includes spouts, rosettes, and handles, designed with smooth transitions instead of sharp angles. Available finishes include Chrome, Champagne (22kt Gold), and Brushed Bronze. Caroline Schmitt from Dornbracht highlights that Coya harmonizes diverse styles, making it perfect for uniquely designed spaces. The design draws inspiration from historical hybrid geometries, spanning 19th-century eclectic architecture to Art Deco and postmodernism, while adhering to a modernist simplicity without harsh angles. These fittings are ideal for contemporary bathrooms, where subtle design choices significantly affect spatial dynamics.
