Dominik Tarabański’s Photographs at Bergdorf Goodman

Dominik Tarabański’s series 'Roses for Mother' is on view at Bergdorf Goodman in New York as part of Gabriella Khalil's design residency until August 2026. The series began in 2018 as improvised postcards of flowers arranged and photographed while traveling, sent to his mother. Tarabański, born in 1982 in Radymno, Poland, studied photography in Łódź and Warsaw before moving to New York in 2012. His work explores the intersection of synthetic and organic, creating large-scale still lifes (over 2m tall) that resemble Dutch flower paintings. His latest series, 'Between Stems,' features knotweed, orchid, and lily under tension, shown this year at FOG Design+Art in San Francisco with LA gallery Marta. A solo exhibition in New York with Marta is planned for autumn 2026, drawing on the 'Little Roses' series. Tarabański's practice balances a rigorous physical routine, a Polish ethic of efficiency, and a compulsive hiking habit as a counterweight to city life.
