Displate Launches Shards, Palm-Sized Metal Collectibles With Three Rarity Tiers

Displate has introduced Shards, a new line of small-format metal collectibles produced with the company's signature Textra finish, which adds raised 3D detail and surface effects to officially licensed artwork. Each Shard carries a hologram on its back and is offered in up to three rarity tiers: Common, combining 3D texture with selective matte and gloss effects; Rare, adding holographic foil that catches light when moved; and Ultra-Rare, featuring hot stamping and a distinctive metallic hue. Collectors can obtain Shards through two channels. Secret Drop Shards, sealed and sold at select U.S. retailers, conceal the design until opening, with each purchase yielding one Shard and one reveal that can be displayed on a wall, a shelf, or in a binder. Limited Drop Shards, exclusive to Displate.com, present a complete set drawn from a single pop culture brand, letting buyers view every design and rarity ratio in advance, choose a tier, and receive the full set without random pulls. A double-sided magnet included with Limited Drop sets allows display on metal surfaces, shelves, or desks. Displate describes the Limited Drop as a limited-run release available while supplies last.
