Dinosaur Exhibition at Grande Galerie de l’Évolution from July 16

The Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle presents 'Sur les traces des dinosaures' at the Grande Galerie de l’Évolution from July 16, 2026. The exhibition showcases fossils from the Angeac-Charente site, one of the world's most important Early Cretaceous deposits. Over 10,000 identified bones, 70,000 bone fragments, and 80,000 microremains are displayed, along with illustrations by comic artist Mazan. The exhibition is structured in five thematic sections covering Jurassic-Cretaceous transition, Charente sites, paleontological research, flora and fauna, and environmental change. It includes fossils of a giant sauropod near Turiasaurus and two reconstructed ornithomimosaur skeletons. Scientific commissioner Ronan Allain, project manager and scenographer Béatrice Abonyi, and illustrator Mazan are involved. The exhibition also features animations, guided tours, and a reading space with works by Mazan, Isabelle Dethan, and Delphine Zigoni.
