Dino Trolley Returns to Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport

Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine, will host its Dino Trolley event on Saturday and Sunday, September 5-6. Visitors can ride the heritage railway aboard the Dino Trolley to spot over 80 dinosaur silhouettes hidden along the tracks. The museum's Visitors Center and main campus will offer activities for youth, including the Dino Big Dig, where children search for dinosaur bones in a simulated archaeological dig site; the Dino Egg Hunt, with prize-filled eggs scattered across campus; and Let's Explore Dinosaurs, an educational scavenger hunt featuring five dinosaur types, with fully stamped passports entering families into a drawing for a free 2026-27 Family Membership. Additional activities include Frozen Fossil, where participants dig through snow cones to find a frozen dinosaur, a dino-themed craft station, and a photo station. Guests can also explore three carhouses with restored trolleys and transit artifacts, plus the restoration shop viewing gallery and the Maine Central Model Railroad building. Admission is $15 per person, with children two and under free. To manage crowding, tickets are limited per departure time, with trolleys leaving at 9:45, 10:30, 11:15, 12:00, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, and 3:00 PM.
