Diego Rivera Show at Villa Caffarelli Draws 17,000 Visitors; Weekend Guided Tours Announced

At the Musei Capitolini – Villa Caffarelli in Rome, the exhibition 'Diego Rivera and the Construction of Modern Art in Mexico in the 20th Century' has drawn more than 17,000 attendees within its initial two months. This showcase, which runs until December 13, 2026, delves into Rivera's contributions to Mexican modernism, alongside works by notable artists such as Frida Kahlo, José María Velasco, and José Clemente Orozco. Curated by Miguel Fernández Félix from the Museo Kaluz and Alberto González Torres from the Museo Robert Brady, the event is a joint effort between Italian and Mexican institutions, supported by Roma Capitale and various cultural organizations. Beginning September 12, 2026, guided tours in Italian will be available on weekends, requiring reservations starting August 17, with tickets priced at €7 per person, plus exhibition entry.
