Diego Perrone's 'Il sole come un gatto' at Fondazione Morra Greco

Fondazione Morra Greco in Naples presents 'Il sole come un gatto', Diego Perrone's first institutional solo show in the city, curated by Giulia Pollicita. The exhibition transforms the Baroque interiors into a dark, immersive environment where animal, rural, and organic imagery emerges through film, sculpture, and slide projections. Key works include the eponymous digital video 'Il sole come un gatto' (2026) depicting two cats falling in slow motion, a floor serigraph of giant koi fish, and a resin sculpture 'Pendio piovoso Frusta la Lingua' (2026). Slide projections from 1995–2026 show the artist with geese, pigs, and hens, while a 1994 video captures two geese alone in a room. The exhibition explores themes of perception, animality, and autobiography, referencing Perrone's childhood in the Asti countryside. It runs at the Palazzo Carafa di Maddaloni, with works spanning 1994 to 2026.
