award · 2026-04-02

Dezeen Awards 2026, in collaboration with Trimble, held a gathering in Shanghai to introduce its newly established Asia Pacific Regional Showcases. The event took place at the Vitra showroom and was organized by Dezeen's China editorial team, headed by editor Christina Yao, along with Aritco, represented by CEO Jonas Sjödahl. Attendees included prominent architects and designers from across China, as well as previous regional award recipients such as Studio Link-Arc and Slow Coral Design. The 2026 edition of Dezeen Awards introduces three Regional Showcases highlighting top projects from Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific, and the Americas. These showcases complement the existing 49 project categories. In the previous year's awards, 37% of winners came from the Asia Pacific region, with eight winners from Japan, including the interiors and design projects of the year. China had four winning studios, followed by Australia, Indonesia, and Singapore. The entry deadline for Dezeen Awards 2026 is May 27, with fees ranging from £130 to £260 per category based on company size. The awards program aims to recognize excellence in architecture, interiors, and design globally.
