Desai Chia Architecture Completes Chatham Residence in Upstate New York with Oak-Leaf-Inspired Roof
Chatham Residence, a retirement home situated in Chatham, Columbia County, New York, has been finalized by Desai Chia Architecture. This single-story dwelling is located on an 80-acre site adjacent to the Catskill Mountains. Tailored for a couple wishing to escape the hustle of New York City, the residence showcases a roof design reminiscent of oak leaves, alongside corrugated metal siding and plain-sawn accoya wood. The heart of the home comprises an open kitchen, dining, and living area with expansive glass walls. Two wings accommodate the primary and guest bedrooms, while a separate guesthouse functions as an office.
