Decorative Glass Collections Expand Design Possibilities with Color, Texture, and Biophilia
Manufacturers of decorative glass are expanding the creative potential of glass through vivid hues, textures, and biophilic designs. Skyline Glass partnered with designer Kelly Harris Smith to develop the Color + Water collection, which features watercolor studies scanned at 1,200 dpi and printed onto large-scale tempered glass. At the Children’s Hospital of Orange County in California, CannonDesign utilized Bendheim’s SatinTech, an etched glass available in bright colors, to foster a positive atmosphere. The Arboretum Collection by 3form showcases an assortment of botanical patterns through organic interlayers and digital prints. VéVé Glass offers RGB, made from Murano glass in 35 colors, while Pulp Studio's Antique Mirror collection gives a modern twist to classic aged glass. McGrory Glass Systems' Ocean Series Dichroic Glass includes various metallics and color-shifting pigments, while Goldray Glass's Monolithic Dichroic Glass allows for cost-effective applications without needing a specific interlayer.
