De Cecco's First Store by Studio Francesco Faccin Opens in Pescara
Studio Francesco Faccin has designed De Cecco's first proprietary retail space, Galleria De Cecco, opening June 25, 2026 on Pescara's Corso Umberto I. The store is conceived as a scalable retail concept rather than a one-off showroom, positioned as a cultural outpost that avoids competing with De Cecco's existing distribution network. The spatial language is structured around five raw materials: water, wheat, steel, stone, and bronze. Water flows from a monolithic counter carved from white Maiella stone, referencing the natural spring at De Cecco's historic production site in Fara San Martino. Two entrance plinths in the same stone feature circular tops finished with authentic bronze extrusion dies from De Cecco's factories. A vertical wall installation shows wheat milling and refining steps, avoiding nostalgic rural imagery. A permanently exhibited bronze die turns manufacturing equipment into a museum-style display. Behind the counter, steel tubing and modular timber wall support stainless-steel display modules modeled on museum exhibition design, which can be repositioned freely. A continuous microcement floor references De Cecco's blue brand identity. Photography by Alessio Pellicoro documents the Fara San Martino production facility. The location in Abruzzo ties the store to De Cecco's region of origin. Studio Francesco Faccin previously worked on retail concept design for Naturasì.
