Danish brand Birdie expands air quality line with purifier and LED candle

architecture-design · 2026-06-11

Danish home tech brand Birdie, co-founded by Hans Augestenberg and Andreas Kofoed Sørensen, has expanded its product line with the Birdie Home Collection, unveiled at 3 Days of Design 2026 in Copenhagen. The collection includes an updated Birdie Pro air monitor with app support and smart-home integration, Birdie Podium—a wooden pedestal-shaped air purifier designed as furniture—and Birdie Flame, an LED candle that mimics real flame and responds to gesture controls. The original Birdie, launched in 2022, has sold over 70,000 units in over 70 countries. The new products aim to improve indoor air quality without overwhelming homes with technology. The 'Home of Fresh Air' installation runs until June 12 at Badstuestræde 12, 1209 Copenhagen.
