Daniel D Stine Returns to Painting with 'Faces of Time' in Santa Fe
From October 16 to November 16, New Concept Gallery will host 'Faces of Time,' an exhibition by Santa Fe artist Daniel D Stine. In a conversation with Jamie McLaren, Stine shared that his artistic inspirations include renowned figures such as M.C. Escher, Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso, and Van Gogh. He received a scholarship to study at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he developed a penchant for intricate line work in his oil paintings. After taking a break from art, he made a comeback, achieving sold-out shows at a local brewpub and earning the Gold Prize at Detroit's Scarab Club. His pieces, including 'Becker Butte Lookout' (2026) and 'Shadow of the Joshua Tree' (2025), showcase vivid colors and fine detail. The exhibition is supported by Southwest Contemporary.
