Damien Hirst's 'The Emotions' Print Series at HENI Gallery

HENI Gallery in London is presenting 'The Emotions', a series of nine prints by Damien Hirst derived from his Jacaranda Paintings. The series, created in 2026, includes eight prints measuring 120 x 96 cm and a larger piece titled 'Emotion' at 198 x 132 cm. The works are signed and numbered giclée direct prints on aluminum composite panels. Hirst's fascination with the jacaranda tree began in 2024 during his solo exhibition at Museo Jumex in Mexico City, where his Cherry Blossoms paintings were displayed against windows overlooking real jacaranda trees in bloom. This juxtaposition inspired him to capture the ephemeral beauty of the jacaranda's blue, purple, pink, fuchsia, and red hues. The prints are based on original paintings of the jacaranda in full bloom. Hirst described the experience as a challenge to pictorially resolve 'blue on blue' and to convey the transient colors of the jacaranda, which symbolize wisdom, hope, and renewal. The exhibition aims to capture the immersive, transitory beauty of nature.
