Dalziel & Pow Crafts Linocut Identity for Crisis's Create for Crisis Campaign
The Create for Crisis campaign was relaunched by the London design studio Dalziel & Pow in collaboration with the UK homelessness charity Crisis, coinciding with Secondhand September and adopting the theme UNSOLD. RETOLD. At the Canning Town warehouse, twelve independent makers from the UK repurposed unsold donated clothing using various techniques. The brand identity was crafted by Dalziel & Pow, who hand-carved the main wordmark into linoleum blocks, featuring uneven lettering for "Create for" alongside a modified Crisis logo. This visual identity can be seen in sixteen Crisis retail outlets across London, showcasing large posters, portraits of makers, and custom storytelling boards for designers such as LUEDER and Ashley Knight. Sales revenue is split, with half supporting homelessness initiatives and half benefiting the makers.
