Dakota Johnson Discusses Self-Cut Bangs, Upcoming Films, and Press Scrutiny on The Run-Through Podcast
Dakota Johnson appeared in New York for a recording of The Run-Through podcast, where she revealed she had cut her own bangs, which were slightly uneven. She explained that such impulsive decisions can stem from a cocktail or an existential crisis, and spoke about the difficulty of being under constant scrutiny during press tours. Johnson's first acting role was in the 1999 film Crazy in Alabama, alongside her mother Melanie Griffith and sister Stella, directed by her stepfather Antonio Banderas. Next month, she will star in the Colleen Hoover adaptation Verity opposite Anne Hathaway. She recently completed filming Three Incestuous Sisters in Rome with Saoirse Ronan, Jessie Buckley, Josh O'Connor, and director Alice Rohrwacher, set for release next year. Outside of work, Johnson enjoys reading with her book club TeaTime, which is also her production company, watching movies, and trolling friends. She noted that she and Jennifer Lawrence could be ultimate internet trolls if they had the time and interest.
