Daft Punk Photo Exhibition 'Around the World' to Open in Paris with 24-Hour Free Preview

exhibition · 2026-10-06

Five years after Daft Punk disbanded, a new exhibition titled "Around the World" will bring together around sixty rare or previously unseen photographs of the duo. The show is organized by five passionate friends who unearthed early images from the years when Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo were propelling French Touch onto the global stage. The photographs, taken between 1997 and 2007 by about ten photographers—including Tetsuro Sato, Rick Guest, Zach Cordner, and Philippe Levy—capture the robots in everyday settings such as at a PMU counter or poolside, as well as on promotional tours in Japan and the United States. The exhibition also includes documents tracing the duo's history since 1995, alternating between staged scenes of daily life and archival material. Before the main opening in November at a still-undisclosed location, a free 24-hour nonstop pre-opening will be held in the Marais. From Friday, October 23, 2026 at 6pm to Saturday, October 24 at 6pm, visitors can attend continuously at 58 rue Volta, 75003 (M° Arts et Métiers, lines 3/11). Entry is free, and the pre-opening offers a selection of images, limited-edition print pre-orders, and presale tickets for the main exhibition at €10. The full exhibition is scheduled for November 2026, with venue and dates to be announced.
