Dacia Launches Bigster SUV, Expanding Into Mid-Size Market

Dacia has introduced the Bigster, its first entry into the mid-size SUV segment. The vehicle measures 4.57m long, 1.81m wide, and 1.71m high, and is a five-seater. It is available in two hybrid variants. The Bigster features chunky styling with black plastic cladding on wheel arches and bumpers, and a high ride height with dedicated terrain modes for off-road capability, though not all versions have four-wheel drive. The interior includes a central touchscreen, physical buttons for heating controls, a smartphone dock, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a digital dashboard with physical steering wheel buttons. Practical features include modular roof bars, storage compartments, and a second-row armrest that converts into a backpack. An optional Sleep Pack adds a rear bed system and awning for car camping. The Bigster is priced from £25,215 and is available through Dacia.co.uk. It follows other Dacia models like the Spring, Sandero, Jogger, and Duster, and precedes the upcoming Striker and the Hipster Concept. Dacia, in collaboration with Renault, has built a reputation for affordable, functional vehicles. The Bigster aims to offer value and practicality in the SUV market.
