Dạ Homestay by 3fconcept Preserves Hue's Cultural Heritage

architecture-design · 2026-09-02

In Hue, Vietnam, the architectural firm 3fconcept has completed Dạ Homestay, a project designed to preserve and narrate the cultural heritage of the ancient capital. Located on a 285 m² plot within a narrow alley, the homestay spans 290 m² and was conceived as a dialogue between traditional vernacular language and strong contemporary lines. The project, curated by Miwa Negoro, responds to the rapid urbanization that threatens Vĩ Dạ's historical identity, replacing rustic beauty with generic urban landscapes. The design team includes Principal Architect Phan Nhat Hung, with Nguyen Tran Gia Linh on design and Ngo Phan Quy and Tran Dang Thanh on technical aspects. Photographs were taken by HoangLe Photography, and the project uses products from Simon, Toto, and Xingfa. The homestay is categorized under hotels and is slated for completion in 2026. The project aims to serve not only as lodging but as a means to preserve the cultural narrative of Hue, deeply rooted in local poetry and art.
