D1 Milano and Peter Tarka Launch 'Impossible Watch' with Rotating Discs

D1 Milano has collaborated with digital artist Peter Tarka to create the 'Impossible Watch,' a timepiece that replaces traditional hands with three rotating discs for hours, minutes, and seconds. The watch, now live on Kickstarter, translates Tarka's signature digital geometry into a wearable object. It features a lightweight aluminum case and bracelet, a sapphire crystal with blue anti-reflective coating, and 5 ATM water resistance. A hybrid display combines analog disc motion with a digital screen showing the day, date, and time. Seven dots indicate the days of the week. The project bridges screen culture and physical design, treating the wrist as a site for graphic experimentation.
