Czech Constitution redesigned by Ondřej Báchor, Matěj Činčera, and Jan Novák with custom typeface and paper relief
After winning a design competition, graphic designer Ondřej Báchor, typographer Jan Novák, and paper-craft expert Matěj Činčera reimagined the Constitution of the Czech Republic. Their innovative design fuses modern techniques with historical traditions, utilizing paper that reflects Czech heritage. It showcases a state emblem featuring two-tailed lions and eagles, representing democracy, and prominently uses the national colors of blue, red, and white, with blue signifying stability. The book's inner block is designed for easy updates, with each page adorned by a relief print of the emblem. A unique typeface named Democratia, inspired by a 1920s font, improves readability.
