Cristóbal Hara's Early Work on View in Cuenca

The 'Cristóbal Hara: principiante' exhibition at the Museo de Arte Abstracto Español in Cuenca is dedicated to the formative years of Spanish photographer Cristóbal Hara, recipient of the Premio Nacional de Fotografía in 2022. This event, organized in collaboration with Fundación Caja Burgos, will be on display until October 11, 2026, after being showcased at Fundación Juan March in Palma. Hara, born in Madrid in 1946, drew inspiration from his varied upbringing. Initially studying law and business, he transitioned to photography in the late 1960s, influenced by Henri Cartier-Bresson. His early black-and-white images, captured during military service in Cuenca and Colmenar Viejo, reflect a time of artistic exploration, focusing on Spanish traditions and everyday life.
