Crespo Foundation Opens 'Aftergrowth' with Glenkeen Garden Artists in Frankfurt

exhibition · 2026-10-16

The Crespo Foundation has launched its latest exhibition, 'Aftergrowth,' at the Frankfurt Open Space. This event follows the Glenkeen Garden Residencies, which originated from the creative vision of Ulrike Crespo (1950 – 2019). Crespo transformed marshy land near Roaringwater Bay, Ireland, into a stunning garden over 20 years, fostering a nurturing environment intended for contemplation and innovation. Since 2021, the residencies have welcomed a diverse range of artists and thinkers who have engaged with the garden’s ethos. The exhibition draws inspiration from Derek Jarman’s reflection on gardening as an optimistic act toward the future.
