Creola, an Ever-Changing Supper Club, Opens on the Upper East Side
Last month, Creola, a new supper club-style eatery, made its debut on the Upper East Side, where reservations can be made through OpenTable. Chef-owner Lana Lagomarsini, originally from the Bronx, presents a rotating six-course menu. The cozy dining area accommodates five tables, while Lagomarsini prepares meals in a compact kitchen. Her culinary background includes work at Daniel, Momofuku Ko, and with chef Francis Mallmann, in addition to being a 'Top Chef' semifinalist. Named in honor of her grandmother from Alabama, Lagomarsini mastered Southern cuisine in her grandmother's kitchen. The inaugural menu featured elk chop and pot-likker consommé, while the summer offerings included oysters, oxtail croquettes, and shrimp in red-eye gravy. The cookout menu is priced at $125 per guest, with an optional $65 wine pairing.
