Cotacero Completes 500 m² Modular School for 450 Children in Ancón

To address the insufficient educational facilities in Ancón, the Cotacero team, alongside local volunteers and community members, spearheaded the design and construction of Nido Linaje de David II. This 500 m² initiative aims to serve over 450 children. The project was driven by the pressing need for a dignified and enriching environment for early childhood education in a resource-poor district. Emphasizing architecture's role in social change, it prioritizes sustainability, adaptability, and community involvement. Completed in 2025, the lead architects are Hideki Shimizu, Heishiro Fudimoto, and Francesca W. The technical team includes Gloria Ccoriñaupa and Susana Chia, with civil engineering provided by Gary Calderon. Valentina Díaz curated the project, and Renzo Rebagliati captured its essence through photography.
