Costa Brazil flagship store opens at Hudson Yards with Amazonian crafts

The flagship retail location of Costa Brazil, a fragrance line established by Francisco Costa, has officially launched at The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards in New York. The store, created in partnership with Alexander May of Alexander May Studio, is designed to evoke a warm and intimate atmosphere. It showcases the complete assortment of fragrance, skincare, and cosmetics on large black plinths, with products arranged on concrete and black-wood plates. Costa’s personal collection from his Bellport home is also featured, including Brazilian art from Bossa Gallery and AALVO Gallery, alongside vibrant pottery from the Indigenous Shipibo-Konibo of the Upper Amazon, curated by Peter Koepke. Custom furnishings like platform daybeds and low tables complement the minimalist aesthetic, which includes concrete tiles and wooden flooring.
