Cooper Hewitt Opens First Permanent Exhibition; LVMH-IFM Launch Creativity Chair

The Smithsonian Design Museum, known as Cooper Hewitt, has inaugurated "Design Across Time," its inaugural permanent exhibition showcasing 125 items from its extensive collection of 200,000 objects. Highlights include a Lotus-shaped cup dating back to 1100 BCE and an interactive feature from The New York Times from the 2020s. The exhibition, created by JA Projects, enhances the Gilded Age architecture of the Carnegie mansion. Additionally, LVMH and the Institut Français de la Mode introduced the "Sciences & Creation" Chair to explore creative processes in fashion and technology. Lego also revealed a 27.6-foot replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy, constructed from over 1.36 million bricks, outside Rockefeller Center. Meanwhile, the Sarabande Foundation has opened a new facility in London featuring 14 affordable studios for artists.
