Conran Design Group Creates Brand Identity for Dance Can Do Nonprofit
Conran Design Group, led by executive creative director Lee Hoddy, has developed a new visual identity for Dance Can Do, a nonprofit founded by Aurélia Sellier that uses dance to benefit disadvantaged young people. The organization aims to grow globally and attract corporate and public funding. The brand centers on the empowering phrase "dance can" and a custom logotype where each letterform is inspired by fundamental dance moves and postures, capturing the dynamism and transformative power of dance. The identity also introduces three photography themes—impact on young lives, collaboration, and artistry—to repurpose existing images. The project faced the challenge of distilling many ideas into a focused, impactful solution that works with limited marketing budgets. The logotype avoids trends and symbolism, letting the name itself do the work. Dance Can Do's projects include work with displaced children in the Ritsona refugee camp in Greece and families at Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris.
