Connessioni: New Contemporary Art Space Opens in Giugliano, Naples Hinterland

A new contemporary art space called Connessioni – Arte, Letteratura, Architettura has opened in Giugliano in Campania, a large town in the Naples metropolitan area with over 125,000 inhabitants. Founded by gallerist Franco Riccardo and architect Francesco Mallardo, the space is located at Corso Campano 147 and aims to foster cultural exchange through exhibitions, book presentations, literary debates, and other events. The inaugural show features a solo exhibition by Neapolitan artist Davide Stasino (born 1978). Riccardo, who has been active since the 1980s and previously founded Franco Riccardo Artivisive in Naples, emphasizes the need to make Giugliano's rich historical and archaeological heritage dynamic and future-oriented. The project also seeks to create a community hub for artists, critics, and art lovers, building on earlier cultural initiatives in the city, such as Riccardo's Ar Project Gallery, an independent cultural association launched in 2013 in Piazza Gramsci.
