Condominio Mediterraneo: Student Works on View at Castello Aragonese in Reggio Calabria

The Accademia di Belle Arti di Reggio Calabria presents 'Condominio Mediterraneo', an exhibition at the Castello Aragonese running from June 6 to August 23, 2026. The project involved sixty students in year-long workshops led by international artists Adrian Paci, Giulia Piscitelli, Romina De Novellis, and Michele Di Stefano, spanning painting, sculpture, film, and performance. Curated by Lucrezia Longobardi with Gruppo L5, the exhibition is designed as a mobile, participatory space. A team of ten students documented the process. The castle becomes a temporary extension of the academy, open to the city with open studios and workshops. Longobardi described her curatorial approach as a practice of listening, allowing the community to transform the space into living matter. The initiative aims to bridge learning and cultural production, a model still rare in Italy.
