In Lynn, Massachusetts, a former industrial creamery spanning 45,604 square feet has been reimagined as the headquarters for Global Protection Corporation, a condom manufacturer established by Davin Wedel in 1987 following a successful safe-sex initiative at Tufts University. The architectural design, created by J. Roc Jih of Studio J.Jih in collaboration with Maugel DeStefano Architects, embodies a concept of "parallel play," merging essential workplace elements with influences from home and nightlife, while intertwining humor with the company’s commitment to safe sex and queer activism. Global Protection provides condoms to Planned Parenthood and the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, along with customizable novelty wrappers.
