Collector Anna Pedron Fasol Dies, Leaving Legacy of Contemporary Art at University of Verona

Anna Pedron Fasol, a prominent art collector, has passed away. For over fifty years, alongside her husband Giorgio Fasol, she built the AgiVerona collection, which became foundational to the Museo del Contemporaneo UniVr at the University of Verona. The couple, originally from the Bassa veronese area, began collecting in the late 1960s, developing an internationally recognized collection. Their approach involved Giorgio selecting artists and Anna choosing the highest quality works. In a significant recent act, they donated approximately 120 works from their collection to the university, reflecting their belief in art as shared heritage. Their collection notably acquired early works by artists like Maurizio Cattelan and Ibrahim Mahama.
