Collectif XY Transforms La Défense with Acrobatic Performances for Les Extatiques 2026

Between June 8 and 12, 2026, Paris's La Défense will be transformed by the Collectif XY during the Les Extatiques festival. The initiative, titled Les Voyages, aims to turn everyday commutes into an engaging experience with around twenty acrobats forming human structures among the towers. The highlight, Möbius, a collaboration with Rachid Ouramdane, is set for June 9 at the Grande Arche and has been showcased nearly 300 times worldwide. Performances will also take place at CNIT on June 8 at 6 PM, Les Quatre Temps at 6:30 PM, Place du bassin Agam on June 11 at 6 PM, and Cours Valmy on June 12 at 12:30 PM. Samuel Buton will capture the event for a September exhibition. For nearly two decades, Collectif XY has focused on acrobatic arts and audience engagement. In spring and summer 2026, they will feature Élévations at the Biennale d'Aix-en-Provence (April 11-12), Möbius in Deauville on May 16, and Les Voyages in Paris from July 13-19. Their latest work, Le Pas du Monde, will be presented at Montpellier Danse on June 24-25 and at the Festival d'Avignon from July 22-25. Since 2016, the group has received backing from the Ministry of Culture and the BNP-Paribas Foundation, collaborating with Chaillot-Théâtre National de la Danse and Le Phénix – Scène nationale.
