Collectif MAGMA's Stone Tower Rises in Lunano, Le Marche, for 2026
Collectif MAGMA has designed a 10 m² stone tower in Lunano, within the rural landscape of the Le Marche region of Italy, scheduled for completion in 2026. The tower stands beside a path used by local residents, near a picnic table overlooking the town. The route links the Convento di Monte Illuminati and the Torre di Lunano, two centuries-old stone structures crowning the surrounding hills that the project team describes as silent witnesses to an everyday heritage deeply rooted in the territory. The project is curated by Nina Vuga. Joris Mayoud and Charles Morant are the lead architects, with a technical team comprising Juliette Lefrançois, Luc Lefrançois, Aliénor Drapier, César Delebarre-Debay and Thierry Mayoud. Photography is credited to Juliette Lefrançois, Collectif MAGMA and Aliénor Drapier. The scheme falls under the categories of Installations and Structures, and Landscape and Architecture, and was submitted by the project team.
