Coco Brun's Olfactory Installation Landscape Memories Debuts at Lake Como Design Festival 2026
Coco Brun, a French artist, crafted an olfactory installation titled Landscape Memories, which includes three ceramic sculptures that emit fragrances inspired by Puglia, Italy. This project, conceived during the D.Puglia residency under the curation of Gordana Zgonjanin, delves into the region's coastline and its erosion. The sculptures, designed using 3D scans of caves in Puglia, were created in Milan in collaboration with SuperForma. Brun teamed up with Givaudan Paris perfumer Laurène Sourdillon to develop three distinct scents: Marino, Terra, and Bosco. The installation was showcased at Villa Saporiti as part of the Lake Como Design Festival 2026, curated by Giovanna Massoni and Francesca Prandelli. Plans for 2027 include redesigned sculptures and new creations. The project was documented by photographers Federica Livia and Rebecca Pissina.
