CMF Launches First Portable Speakers, Speaker S and Speaker M, with Modular Design

CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing based in India, has launched its inaugural portable audio devices: the Speaker S and Speaker M. Designed with a milk-carton aesthetic, these speakers are available in four colors—White, Dark Grey, Orange, and Turquoise—for each model. The Speaker S accommodates half a litre, while the Speaker M can hold a full litre. Both models feature modular, interchangeable front panels and knobs, allowing for 3D-printed customizations. They support Bluetooth 6.0 and have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. With a battery life of up to 18 hours, the Speaker S includes a 45 mm full-range driver and dual passive radiators, producing 10W output. The Speaker M features a dual-driver configuration with a 25W woofer and a 10W tweeter, both equipped with an Ultra Bass mode and adjustable via the Nothing X app. Charging occurs through USB-C, which enables ultra-low-latency audio for gaming. Users can connect multiple speakers through Stereo Mode and Party Mode. The Speaker S is priced at $59, while the Speaker M retails for $109, available at nothing.tech. A sizing guide suggests a potential future Speaker L. This launch signifies CMF's venture beyond smartphones, watches, and headphones into the portable audio market, appealing to a younger demographic with its affordable, playful design.
