CLLC's Limen Bar Brings Postmodern-Inspired Design to Oranj During Frieze Week, Then Paris

architecture-design · 2026-10-20

During Frieze Week, the Limen Bar, curated by design gallerist Max Radford, took over the Oranj natural wine bar in East London for a week. The bar, crafted by the Paris-based studio CLLC, helmed by Charlotte Taylor and Pauline Leprince, serves as a visual transition. Contributions from Radford's collaborators, including Lewis Kemmenoe and Eddie Olin, were enhanced by lighting from PS Lab and sound design by Mateo Garcia Audio. The installations reflect typical bar interactions, with CLLC also creating geometric glassware. Featuring a modern interpretation of postmodern design, the bar utilizes lightweight materials that resemble stone and metal. Its upcoming event is scheduled for Paris, from 21-24 October, at 10 Villa Riberolle during Art Basel.
