Clerkenwell Design Week 2026 Spotlights Independent Studios

Clerkenwell Design Week returns to London’s EC1 from 19–21 May 2026, with a focus on independent designers who treat material constraint as a position rather than a limitation. The festival’s Future Talent section highlights emerging brands, while the new Design Interventions series invites designers and architects to install works in streets, parks, and venues. Among the studios to watch: Paper Lounge, which creates foldable furniture from Kraft paper and honeycomb structures for temporary yet reusable seating; Peel Studio, led by textile artist Yahvi Duggal, which transforms kitchen waste into handwoven textiles rooted in India’s zero-waste traditions; This Is OINK, founded in 2025 by Dan Jackson and Lulu Davey, debuting made-to-order home goods from a Dorset farm workshop; and Spared, founded in 2021 by Callie Tedder-Hares and Emma Lally, which uses reclaimed and site-specific materials for bespoke furniture and installations, with recent commissions for Tate Modern, Aviva, and Virgin Voyages.
