Cleanup unveils portable kitchen, basin, and shower at Milan Design Week 2026
Japanese housing equipment manufacturer Cleanup, founded in 1949, presented Mobility Fixtures for Unfixed Life at Fabbrica del Vapore during Milan Design Week 2026. The project comprises three portable prototypes—Mobility Kitchen, Mobility Basin, and Mobility Shower—each equipped with an integrated water tank and a proprietary recirculating filtration system called re-clean. Unlike conventional reverse osmosis systems, re-clean calibrates filtration to each use. The designs feature soft volumes, rounded profiles, and a neutral palette, rooted in Japanese design tradition. The Mobility Kitchen compresses cooking functions into a self-contained unit, the Mobility Basin fits on desks or tables, and the Mobility Shower operates with just five millimeters of water.
