Claus Bury Celebrates 80th Birthday: Architectural Sculptor Known for Playful Structures

German artist Claus Bury is celebrating his 80th birthday in Frankfurt. Bury, who began his career as a goldsmith, has spent decades creating architectural sculptures and sculptural architecture that blend playfulness with structural rigor. His works frequently incorporate mathematical principles like the Fibonacci sequence, transforming strict calculations into refined aesthetics. Bury's creations often serve functional purposes, ranging from seating installations and climbing towers to large-scale public structures.
